Commercial Metals Ltd was established in 1968 and operates as a family owned business from 324 Neilson Street, Penrose.
During our history, we have earned a solid reputation as a professional recycling facility, conducting business with reliability, integrity and enthusiasm whilst providing competitive pricing for both our domestic and commercial customers. We are able to provide on-site bins with exchange on 24 hours notice, offer spot prices and co-ordinated removal on specific projects, and can provide tender submission for ongoing term contracts.
We have an excellent customer base, and are constantly looking to expand our operations through the development of relationships with new local and international customers.

Our facility is located at 324 Neilson St Penrose that can handle any type of metal and has 4 certified weighbridges, the largest being 22 meters long.
We can unload machinery up to 30 tons without the assistance of a mobile crane, and offer bin service and collection for commercial use, with bins ranging from 1m3 to 30m3. We also provide craneable bins to construction sites and operate a fleet of trucks with hiab and self loading cranes for larger collections, such as farm and commercial sites. Additionally, we can handle demolition projects from start to finish, maximizing return for the customer and prioritizing safety.

Whether you are a Scrap Metal Dealer, Demolition crew, Engineer, Manufacturer, Builder, Electrician or even other tradies, our facility located at 324 Neilson St Penrose is set up to handle anything that comes in the gate. We operate 4 certified weighbridges, the largest being 22 meters long.
We can unload machinery up to 30tons with out the assistance of a mobile crane, making for a fast turn around for your trucks.

Our facility is not set up to serve the public, please get in touch and we can direct you to a metal dealer that best suits your location.
Bin Service
We offer a wide range of bins for commercial use (from 1m3 to 30m3), whether it is for a one off collection or a regular service. Generally there is no charge for placement of our bins, however please contact our office if you are interested in a bin service so that we can discuss your needs with you (some conditions may apply).
We also provide certified craneable bins to a number of construction sites across Auckland, these bins are available at your request.
For larger collections, such as farm and commercial sites, we operate a fleet of trucks which are equipped with hiab and self loading cranes. This enables us to uplift and transport large items of scrap and surplus equipment, providing a unique and convenient service for our customers.
Our fleet consist of 18 trucks, from small flat deck trucks to larger truck and trailer bulk units, we are set up to provide an excellent service for our customers.

Demolition
Commercial Metals also handles demolition projects. Big or small the team at Commercial Metals will organise your Demolition project from start to finish. We will maximise the return to the customer through the value of the scrap metal recovered. Safety is our priority and our fully trained and experienced team will take care of the task. Self-loader Service
Commercial Metals operates a couple of specialized self-loading trucks. These trucks are equipped with their own loading crane and grab which allows them to drive to site and collect loose bulk material without needing assistance. The self-loading truck is the perfect tool for different applications such as; Car Bodies, Farm Jobs, Transfer Stations, Roofing Iron and clearing work sites. It is a cost effective solution to picking up material, rather than having an excavator or piece of loading equipment onsite. Bulk Cartage
Our Fleet of bulk trucks range from Rigid to Artic to Truck and Trailer units, this allows us to service any bulk load requirements throughout the North Island. Certified Destruction Service
We understand that protecting your IP is important, that is why we offer a certified destruction service. Helping businesses control the recycling of obsolete plant, equipment and or products so they can not be replicated or re-sold into the market.
